Trevan House perched above Lundy Bay near Polzeath. We were generously given the best room in the house with a stunning view!
The coastal path, along the Celtic Sea, was quite near our “home”. It was absolutely stunning at every turn. The deep green softness stretched everywhere edged by the various exquisite shades of blue.
The Golitha Falls area was a nice little tourist stop, including a place for refreshment which we utilized. The Falls area, though sweet and lush didn’t come close to the glory of Wisconsin and Minnesota waterfalls!
Bodmin Moor and Rough Tor made for a good hike. There was just a tiny bit of rain. Sheep owned the streets of the tiny village of Minions. We enjoyed a snack and lost a credit card at the charming Minions Tea Shop.
We visited Lanhydrock House. The grounds were gorgeous and the house impressive but much of the house was under construction. We rounded out the evening with a pub and a sunset at Port Gavern.
iOn another part of Bodmin Moor we took a hike to see Showery Tor. There were great vistas in every direction!
Port Gavern sunset and supper
The Lost Gardens at Heligan were just so sweet! Such a variety of beautiful things!
Port Isaac is a gem! You can’t really take a bad photo there unless Caroline discovers another house with our house’s name and becomes distressed!
If you want to visit lots of climates in one place the biomes at Eden Project is the place to be. It is huge and beautifully constructed. It is a light happy bubble with nicely presented information. The smells and colors, the swinging bridge and the statues were just delightful!
uWe found a place to eat in a tiny place called Lanlivery. The highlight, for me, was the church cemetery! Our last morning with the Brits was a little sad but the hot chocolate staved off the tears. I would see them again in three months time!
How can you not go to a place called Lands End? There was a gallery of shops and games behind the official visitors center. The highlight for Doug was a lot of sports cars driving around. The highlight for me was the walk along the sea with Doug.
Newlyn…a picturesque little port
Geevor Tin Mine for Doug and coastal path for Gloria
